De nos jours, Julia, agent immobilier quadragénaire et dynamique, espère pimenter sa vie de couple en investissant un fabuleux appartement qu'elle doit louer dans le centre de Madrid. Mais la nuit de rêve prévue tourne au cauchemar. Julia découvre un magot dans l'appartement d'un voisin décédé, et se retrouve mêlée à une chasse au trésor aussi dangereuse que saugrenue. En effet, les autres voisins guettaient depuis plus de vingt ans la mort du vieil homme millionnaire grâce à un ticket de loto.

Real estate agent Julia Garcia starts to live secretly in a flat she is supposed to be selling. During an attempted night of nookie with her husband, cockroaches appear from a hole in the ceiling. Julia calls the fire department to break into the upstairs apartment where they find a dead body. On returning to the apartment, Julia finds over 1 million dollars, the dead gamber’s winnings. Unfortunately for Julia, the apartment block's other residents have been waiting for the old man to die so they could get their hands on his money, and they're not about to let Julia just walk away with it.
